Project Overview

Velocity, a premium bicycle manufacturer specializing in high-performance racing, road, mountain, and electric bikes, commissioned a comprehensive branding overhaul to reflect their commitment to innovation and quality. The goal was to create a cohesive visual identity that could resonate with both seasoned cyclists and newcomers to the sport, while honoring the heritage and craftsmanship synonymous with cycling culture.

At the core of the project was the development of a sleek, modern logo inspired by traditional bicycle head badges from decades past. This reinterpretation blends vintage charm with contemporary design sensibilities, projecting Velocity’s forward-thinking ethos while nodding respectfully to cycling’s rich legacy. The identity was applied consistently across all brand touch points, including product packaging, signage, and digital platforms, ensuring a unified and instantly recognizable presence.

The color palette—featuring a bold “jersey yellow” paired with a deep “carbon midnight”—was chosen to evoke energy, speed, and strength. Jersey yellow calls to mind the iconic leader’s jersey, symbolizing excellence and ambition, while carbon midnight references the durability and high performance of modern bike materials. Together, these colors support the brand’s positioning at the intersection of tradition and technology, performance and style. The web design followed suit, offering a seamless, immersive user experience tailored for riders of every level.
